Growth my final project

The project expresses my ambition to create a coexisting life between humans and nature. “Love of life”  (Biophilia) reflects my opinion for nature and humans to become one symbiotic system that provides mental freedom and serenity. In this project, I have developed a series of sustainable garments that simulates coexistence between the biosphere and human culture. Therefore, I have created two main ways of work, the first is a natural material lab that I brew, cooked and smeared on synthetic nets, the second way is to grow sprouts on a natural platform where the roots are embroidered through synthetic nets and merged as one. The purpose is to enable everyone to use these techniques at home, acknowledge nature as the origin of life, and thrive with it.

Materials:

• Agar & Chia Material.

• Rice Papers.

• Tapioca & Agar Material.

• Recycle Paper Seeds.

• Synthetic nets: Tulle fabric, used Stockings, pvc nets.

• Rock Wool.

• Sprouts: Amaranthus, Wheatgrass, Micro- Radish.

• drip irrigation systems- pvc pipes, water pumps, water, pipes connectors, charging batteries, dripper, water containers.

Techniques:

 

• Sprouting on rockwool- the roots of the sprouts tangle through the rockwool and the synthetic nets, creating a new strong bond. (tulle fabric, stockings, pvc net)

• Cooking natural materials- brewing new recipes, cooking them until boiling point and merge, then applying it on synthetic nets and letting them dry.
